Missing In Action
Just a quick update to explain my reasons for being absent from the computer (as if anybody really cares). I am unable at the moment to make any updates on this site [as well as novelesque] due to three pretty big reasons:
1. Two of my professors have given me an academic ultimatum. I have less than 15 days to complete a presentation that is crucial to the approval of my thesis. Additionally, I have to complete a certain 30 page historiography for one of my seminars; the professor will not allow any extensions past November 22. Most of you will agree with me on the fact that school is more important than NaNoWriMo, updating this pointless blog, and/or navigating the i-net.
2. I’m in the midst of terminating two employees at work (as much as I hate the task, I must do it). Such a lovely prospect forces me to be at the office at 7:00 or 7:30 every morning. The fact that I need to have extensive documentation on these individuals is keeping me busy as heck. I do not know how I am able to cope with this, 15 graduate credits, my responsibilities at home, and trying to have some sort of social life (let me laugh loudly at the idea).
3. My DSL modem broke three days ago. It simply won’t work and I really hate using dial-up connections. I don’t know whether to view this as a curse (given that I will need to dish out $114.90 to replace it ’cause I’ve had this one for almost three years, making it out of warranty) or as a blessing (as I am being kept from the i-net, which is a big waste of time and a major distraction when I’m at home). I will be getting a new, better, more modern model, which should be here by Friday. I will, however, not have time to connect it (plus the other three computers, since I will need to rearrange the whole networking deal) till next week, during my final vacation.
I appreciate the e-mails and comments that some folks left for my B-day; that was sweet and I thank you all. Someone got me a lil’ thingy from my wishlist as well. Thank you very much.
Lastly, to the folks who have sent me a request for a password to the novel, I have chosen to eliminate the protection once I am able to return next week or later. I don’t think I will be able to complete the work by 30 November, but I will continue to write. Everyone will be welcome to read it at that point. For now I will keep it locked.
With those few points and announcements I must retire now. I have some extensive reading to do and lots of pages to write. Take care everyone!
PS./: Happy belated burrrdeee to my beloved Resha, lots of love to ya and I hope that sexy ass of yours will see many more years to come.
